Led by the WUJS President, the WUJS professional staff are the main people coordinating the day to day activities of the union. We have activists based all over the world, focused on building a more connected, global Jewish student movement.
The 7 members of the WUJS Board are elected by the WUJS General Assembly to support the WUJS President in running WUJS. They assist with fundraising, advise the President on matters of policy and often take on specific roles such as involvement with the WUJS Congress team.
The Executive is the highest authority of WUJS except for the annual Congress. It serves as a substitute, miniature General Assembly during the course of the year, in order to compensate for the impracticability of having an active General Assembly on an ongoing basis due to the international nature of WUJS. The Executive consists of the President, the Treasurer (if one serves), the Board members and representatives of 8 WUJS member unions.
