CONGRESS
100 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
CONGRESS
Congress is the flagship event of the World Union of Jewish Students. The event brings over 100 Jewish student leaders from over 40 countries each year, from Europe, North & Latin America, Africa, Australasia, and Israel.
The participants involved are leaders and activists in national and local unions, as well as new generations of engaged students. Come engage in workshops, panels, high level encounters, innovation and shape yourself and the Jewish future.
We create Congress’ program to cater to and answer Jewish students needs. We strive to ensure that this intense and successful week will lead to a wonderful snowball effect across the globe in national and local Jewish activism.
GENERAL ASSEMBLY
The General Assembly (GA) is the supreme authority of the World Union of Jewish Students. The GA is where the member unions elects WUJS leadership, passes official policy and votes on the inclusion of new members organizations.
TAKE ACTION
Member unions will
empower an individual to vote on their behalf according to the rules set out in the WUJS Constitution.
All member unions of WUJS are eligible to send delegates to participate in the GA.
Each member union receives a specific number of votes determined by Jewish population in Member Union’s country.
Member Unions may vote by proxy without a delegate present if membership is valid and an e-mail is promptly sent to the General Assembly Steering Committee.
Each official delegate present will have the right to speak.
