Union Development Department

WUJS is comprised of member organizations based all over the world in over 30 countries and supports thousands of individual Jewish student leaders. We are committed to supporting our member unions and activists to be the best they can possibly be and we do this in a number of different ways.

The Union Development Department regularly produces new resource packs that Jewish student leaders can use in the every day running of their organization/union. Resource packs cover everything from the basics of establishing/running a Jewish student union to packs for Jewish festival programming. We also have a guide to studying Jewish texts and a leadership manual full of personal leadership development articles. You can access the full resources section here.

The Bronfman-WUJS Global Leaders Fellowship

The Bronfman-WUJS Global Leaders Fellowship is a long-term program for emerging Jewish campus leaders we have developed in collaboration with the Bronfman Center for Jewish Student Life at NYU!

The fellowship is built around a number of international trips and regular online hangouts that focus on leadership development and international collaboration.

Conferences & Seminars

WUJS holds a number of different conferences and seminars throughout the year including, most notably, the annual WUJS Congress. Our programs aim to equip participants with the skills and inspiration they need to be powerful student activists and incredible Jewish leaders.

The WUJS Awards

In 2014, in order to celebrate the work of our most active students, we initiated the first annual WUJS Awards. Awards are given to individuals and student unions and honour those who have made outstanding contributions to Jewish student life in a number of different areas. Unions and individuals can both nominate and the winners are decided by an independent jury of WUJS alumni and partners.
